Teaching Schoolwide Expectations

In the classrooms, FIS teachers deliver schoolwide universal Tier 1 teaching of PBIS behavior expectations using the SOAR Matrix. The SOAR Matrix is a table created by the PBIS school team that states the positive behavioral expectations throughout all areas of the school and is used by all FIS staff. Teachers will reteach the behavior expectations throughout the school year to ensure students understand the positive behavior expectations. The implementation of PBIS and the behavior matrix promotes a positive, predictable and safe school environment.
